"Coach Myers recruited me and got me into UCSB, and although I was not heavily recruited but he gave me a chance to be a Gaucho. He is a great recruiter and brings in some of the top CA recruits to a very academically challenging school. He knows the game, knows what it takes to get his players to the next level and will push them towards it. The biggest impact he had on me, even though he was the pitching coach was my hitting. He helped me from a pitchers standpoint to reduce the number of ways opposing teams could get me out. He worked with me after practice throwing me BP and I credit him with my drastic turn around the 2nd half of the season where I hit 13 of my 14 homeruns and went from hitting .280 to .330. I ended up being 1st Team Big West Conference and getting drafted by the Colorado Rockies. I feel he saved my season and ultimately my career."
